Violet Beauregard

Blueberries are one of our favorite summer fruits, especially when we get to pick them ourselves. Because of the blueberries, this cocktail is as stunning in color as it is in flavor.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 1 cocktail
  • 4 sage leaves
  • Squeeze of a lemon wedge
  • ¾ ounce blueberry simple syrup*
  • 2 ounce aged bourbon

Instructions

Add 3 sage leaves, lemon squeeze, blueberry simple syrup and bourbon to shaker with ice. Shake well and double strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a sage leaf.

* To make blueberry simple syrup, combine equal parts blueberries, sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes before straining. Let cool.
